The
Real HPV Racing Contenders!
The GLOBAL
GREEN CHALLENGE will sponsor a race
of Human Powered Vehicles that weigh 1,000 pounds or
more, and have no engines or motors. The HPV's can
use Generators, Batteries, Capacitors, Solar,
Flywheels, and Computers combined with Human Power.
All HPV's must be able to maintain 50 MPH for one
hour of continuous duty using a single driver.
Universities or
Corporations that enter this race can do so, all
vehicles will be tested and thoroughly inspected for
strict compliance with the HPV Rulings.
The Grand Prize will be
up to $1 Million Dollars, that will be contributed
to a University, that sponsored the HPV Racing
Contender.
The final goal is to
teach NASA, DOE, AMES
R&D, and others how to properly
capitalize on Human Powered Energy, which has been
widely dismissed as impractical for any real
purpose.
Currently,
four vehicles are in for the race- a Tractor
Trailer, Police HPV, the Van and an Auto-Bike, all
pictured above.
Racing
schedules will be posted and held in New Jersey,
Pennsylvania, and New York. For more information,
